A by-election was held for the Cowdenbeath ward of Fife Council on 22 May 2014 following the resignation of Labour Cllr Jayne Baxter.

Not to be confused with the Scottish parliamentary by-election in the Cowdenbeath constituency, held on 23 January 2014.

Gary Guichan held the seat for Labour.
