Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford by-election, 2015

Conservative gain from Liberal Democrats and SNP hold

A double by-election was held for the Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford ward of Aberdeenshire Council on 5 November 2015 following the resignation of Liberal Democrat Cllr Alastair Ross and the death of SNP Cllr Joanna Strathdee.

Margo Stewart gained one seat for the Conservatives, and Gwyneth Petrie held the other seat for the SNP.
